Wake up in the Canadian Rocky Mountains

20th June 2015

The beauty of the Canadian Rocky mountains is nothing short of breathtaking. Every morning the Simply Snowsports team and our 11 week gap year and career break clients get to open their curtains to views of the mountains. It certainly beats opening them to a busy street or urban scene.

This week our local photographer Rob Johnson has snapped an absolutely stunning image of the mountains reflected in Amethyst Lake. I mean seriously, it looks so perfect it's just like a mirror! He goes on to talk about how fortunate he is to have a job that allows him explore places in Jasper National Park that few people ever get to see. We can't agree with him more.

Becoming a ski or snowboard instructor gives you the privileged opportunity to live and work in some truly amazing places. Qualifications from the Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance (CSIA) and Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors are internationally recognised. You could find yourself working in places such as Canada, New Zealand, Argentina, Chile, Japan, Australia, USA, Switzerland, Austria and Italy (to name a few!).

Why not choose an Endless winter? If you really want to travel the world then team the Northern Hemisphere winter up with the Southern Hemisphere winter. Imagine working all year round as a ski or snowboard instructor.

Join one of our ski and snowboard instructor courses in Canada and experience those place that few get to see, just like Rob does. Wake up in the mountains, travel the world, live you dream. Your adventure starts here.

Happy Earth Day | Amethyst | Tonquin Valley, Jasper National Park

Tonquin Valley, Jasper National Park

I'm very fortunate to have a job which allows me to visit places within the Canadian Rockies where few people have a chance venture. Amethyst Lake is a great example of this; the views are outstanding even on a cloudy day. The Avg round trip for this backcountry campsite is about 75km.
