Simply Snowsports has teamed up with local photographer Robert Johnson to bring you the most stunning visuals of the Canadian Rockies along with stories of his adventures to capture the raw beauty of the mountains. Witness through Robert's awe-inspiring photographs all that the Rockies have to offer you on your ski or snowboard instructor course, gap year or bespoke winter sports holiday.

Based out of Jasper, Alberta, Canada, Robert specializes in landscapes, adventure and wildlife photography. Through Robert’s eye, one can see his admiration and appreciation of the wonders of the natural world. Each of his photographs captures a wondrous moment in time and is uniquely timeless.

Born in the Ottawa Valley, Ontario, at a young age Robert began exploring the diverse landscapes of the forests, fields, rivers and lakes surrounding his home. In 2012 Robert chose to move and establish his freelance photography business in one of the most awe-inspiring places on Earth: Jasper National Park.

Today, Robert has been steadily exploring his new backyard and presenting their stories to the world through his photographs. He thrives on the challenge of backpacking and camping in remote areas of the park to get those perfect shots. Whether it’s the first golden light illuminating a majestic mountain top, the grandeur of Jasper reflected on a mountain lake or the endless night sky, Robert can capture its message through his camera's lens.
