Discover Your Utopia

Here at Simply Snowsports we never tire of mountain life. Most of our energy is spent skiing and snowboarding in the winter months, but as spring in the Canadian Rocky Mountains gives way to summer, we really start to appreciate the variety that Jasper National Park has to offer.

Our friendly local adventure, wildlife and landscape photographer Rob Johnson has been out hiking the Tonquin Valley Trail. With this awe inspiring photo, Rob brings you a 'behind the scenes' look at what you could see in Canada if you are willing to don a pair of hiking boots, a map, a compass and of course, an adventurous spirit.

Cloud 9 | Tonquin Valley, Jasper National Park

Deep in the backcountry of Jasper National Park, I had just completed a 24 km hike with a 60lb pack.

With the temperatures plummeting, and muscles sore only the magnificent views could keep me from my tent and much needed sleep. Dusk was settling in and I thought to myself "is this my utopia?"
